ROM Storytime: "The Day You Begin" by Jacqueline Woodson

Join us for a discussion of children’s books with ROM Teacher Sarah Elliott. This engaging series invites you to read and discuss storybooks based on the Museum’s collections and exhibitions. Each story summary is followed by a Q&A on how the stories connect to ROM objects and a story-inspired creative activity.

This week, we read "The Day You Begin" by Jacqueline Woodson, illustrated by Rafael López. Read with permission from Penguin Young Readers Group. Joining Sarah this week is special co-host Christian Blake, Inclusion Manager at the ROM, who is helping to make sure that everyone's story gets told, and that everyone has a chance to hear them.
