A blues guitarist, a cathedral, and the lost art of slow observation

Sometimes you don't need a life-changing conversation to get value from a moment. I didn't speak to this blues guitarist on the Canterbury high street, and he didn't spark a massive career epiphany like the Italian pianist did. But his music is wonderful, the view of the cathedral is stunning, and the moment demanded something we often forget to do: active observation.

In a world obsessed with constant hustle, stopping to simply listen to a street musician and look at beautiful architecture is an act of defiance. With Ai making mincemeat of so many jobs I think it's time to consider doing part time jobs like this. It is all about vocational freedom and appreciating the journey right in front of us.
