A mandatory Evacuation was required for Grand Isle, LA as issued by the mayor. With only one primary route out of town being congested to a single lane along portions of Highway 90, evacuees quickly became stuck in near gridlock traffic. Traffic extended for several miles with campers, RVs, and Boats along with personal vehicles making up the majority of the congestion. A drone was used to be able to see the scale of the jam, with the south bound lane having very little traffic.

Gas stations were becoming very busy with lines forming by Sunday morning and gas cans for generators and vehicles being filled frequently.

An evacuation center is being setup in Raceland, LA to act as safe haven for evacuees.
