How To Motion Track In Wondershare Filmora // Motion Tracking On A Moving Object (BICYCLE)

Hey there, in this tutorial, we'll be learning how to motion track a moving object in Wondershare Filmora version 12. This feature helps you to add graphics, text or effects to your video that follow a particular object throughout the clip.

Step 1: Import footage
Begin by importing your footage into the Filmora timeline. You can either drag and drop the video file or click on the Import button located at the top-left corner of the interface.

Step 2: Select the footage
From the timeline, select the footage you want to motion track by clicking on it once.

Step 3: Open the Motion Tracking panel
Navigate to the top-left side of the Filmora interface and click on the Motion Tracking icon represented by a square box located in-between the Scissors and Text Icon.

Step 4: Add a tracking point
Click on the Add icon (+) under the word "Tracking." Move the tracking point to the object you want to track by clicking and dragging it using your mouse.

Step 5: Start the tracking process
Click on the Play button located at the bottom right corner to start the tracking process. Filmora will analyze the movement of the object as it moves across the footage.

Step 6: Add your desired effect
Once Filmora has completed the tracking process, you may then add your desired effect such as text, graphics or visual effects that will stay locked onto the object throughout the video clip.

Step 7: Preview your work
Preview the footage to make sure that the added effects are synced with the object you were tracking.
