In June of 2018, Officer Eric McAllister, from Morganfield, Kentucky, received calls and texts from a person looking to buy from someone named “Dunk”. It would later emerge that the latter, known to law enforcement, had posted his new number on Snapchat but fumbled some of the digits, which resulted in him inadvertently posting McAllister’s number. Local law enforcement and a state trooper decided to seize the opportunity and set up a sting. The undercover operation resulted in the arrest of 51-year-old Roy Eugene Hancock.
