Eminönü is a district of Istanbul. It is located in the part known as the Historical Peninsula of Istanbul, to the west of the Golden Horn. It is entirely within the city wall, which is the historical core of the city of Istanbul, and constitutes one of the most vibrant areas of the central area. During the Ottoman period, it was named Eminönü due to the presence of the Maritime Customs and Customs Confidence, and it became the central district of Istanbul in the first years of the republic with Fatih district. East of the foot of the Galata bridge, from Eminönü Square to Sirkeci, the city lines connecting the Rumeli side of the city to the Anatolian side and the Bosphorus are lined with ferry ports. Eminönü district, together with the Sirkeci district right next to it, is one of the most vibrant and touristic places in the historical peninsula of Istanbul. It is also one of the most important networks of Istanbul transportation. You can observe the vibrant history of Istanbul around the New Mosque and in Eminönü Square and visit the historical Spice Bazaar where you can find all kinds of spices.
Eminönü Square is a square in the Eminönü district and also visited frequently by Istanbul residents and tourists. The famous Spice Bazaar, Historical Sirkeci Train Station and Yeni Mosque are also located here.
In the interior between Eminönü and Sirkeci, you can find many electronic goods, white goods, clothing, textiles and many other products at very affordable prices.
