A Day in the Life (Working Girl in Manila, PH) // On Drudgery and SDH

I work in an office for 9 hours a day, 5 days a week (Mondays to Fridays). My average day consists of rising up, commuting to work and going back home which takes 1 to 1.5 hour each allotting less than 5 hours for personal time.

This is the daily drudgery I go through (and maybe most of other working Filipinos also) where more than half of my day goes to work making it really hard to meet a work-life balance. Chasing "Simple but Definite Happiness" or SDH, or the phrase “sohwakhaeng”, originated from the Korean lifestyle which refer to simple things or moments that give happiness as a part of everyday life.

Amidst the daily drudgery, from work stress and/or long commute, I am grateful for the SDHs that sparks joy to my everyday life.
