Chopin's Nocturne in C Sharp Minor has accompanied me for many years. I played it for the first time when I was 12 years old and loved ever since. It is a piece full of melancholy and beauty and it shows us that despite all sadness and depression, there always is a silver lining at the end. The very surprising major chord at the end is definitely a magical moment.

This is the recording of my first encore at my second drive-in piano recital in the Blackforest in Germany (Titisee-Neustadt). Klosterkonzerte St. Blasien presented the concert in cooperation with Krone-Theater Neustadt and it was filmed and broadcast by Baechle Event & Media. Many thanks to Steinway & Sons dealer Labianca for the beautiful instrument!
