The Weight of Glory

This is a cover of a song that was on an album that was mysteriously found in a box in my house years ago when I was a kid. If you look it up online, the album almost practically doesn’t exist. You can’t find it on iTunes, not even on YouTube. The artist and writer, Jason Gray, has gone to write other music and has been successful, but I don’t think he even acknowledges this album’s existence anymore.

Anyways, this is a song that has been stuck to me since then for some reason. Jason Gray wrote in the song notes concerning this song: “Often, my world has to be turned upside-down before I see what is of true value. Still, for all the pain in the process, when the dust clears, I never doubt it was worth it.”
