Sneuglerne fodres

Se sneuglebrødrene blive fodret! Sneuglen lever af smågnavere og særligt lemminger står højt på menuen. Hvis bestanden af lemminger i naturen er lille, yngler sneuglen som regel slet ikke. Er bestanden derimod stor, kan sneuglen få helt op til 8 unger i et kuld.

Snowy owls feed on small rodents and particularly lemmings. If the lemming population in the wild is small the snowy owl usually doesn’t produce any offspring. If the lemming population however is large, the snowy owl can lay up to 8 eggs at a time.
