IELTS LISTENING NOTE COMPLETION

This video is going to explain you about the IELTS LISTENING NOTE COMPLETION which is very important in the IELTS listening test.

We are going to overview the IELTS listening test and then look specifically at what is meant by note completion and what are some of the important points that you should wear in your mind while preparing for the listening test.

There are four parts in the IELTS test, both for the academic test and the general training test.
1. The listening test
2. The reading test
3. The writing test
4. The speaking test.

The listening and speaking tests are common for both academic and general, where there is a difference in the question types for the reading and writing tests. The IELTS test can be taken on a paper or it can also be taken on a computer. The first one is called the paper based test and the second one is called the Computer Based test for the computer delivered test. In the first format of the test, which is the paper based method of testing, you should write all the answers on the answer sheet, in the computer delivered test, there is no requirement of manual writing.

In the IELTS listening test, there are four sections which are called section 1, section 2, section 3 and Section 4. Each of these four sections contains 10 questions and you should answer all the questions in order to get a high score.

Coming to the different types of questions in listening, there are fill in the blank type of questions, multiple choice questions, matching, and map labelling. A different kind of strategy should be applied for each of this question types, and a by approaching it specifically, you can understand how valuable it is to understand and prepare for each of the question types specifically.
For the note completion questions, you should understand and follow the audio particularly as it won't be repeated the second time you will get to hear the audio only for once. There is no such option of getting score even if you write the wrong spelling. Since the IELTS is an English proficiency test, you should ensure that the spelling is written properly. An other feature is that synonyms will be heard and you should not expect to find the exact words as you see in the question paper.
In addition to this, there is something called word instruction. You should find them in the instructions and look at the number of word count that you have to write.
