Cam is fat, but she’s finally found the road to recovery: starving! Oh.
Wait. No, that’s no good. Fat Girl Starving follows Cam as she enrolls at
an in-patient recovery center for Atypical Anorexia, where she meets
Rachel, Elle, Ollie, and Arthur, and they connect as they begin their
journey toward healthy relationships with eating, their bodies, and
themselves. This darkly humorous pop-punk musical challenges societal
conceptions around dieting and body size and unblinkingly asks the
audience to examine its connection to the widely-accepted and
overlooked stigma of fatphobia.

The Latiné Musical Theatre Lab is an organization that develops and
advocates for new, Latine-written musicals and the careers of their
writers, in order to radically expand the tapestry of stories told in the art
form of musical theatre. We offer comprehensive programs for new
musical development and writer career advancement, all at no cost to
our writers. Central to our mission is the belief that by robustly
supporting our writers, we robustly support the Latine community as a
whole. Formed in late 2021, the Lab has developed over 70 shows in its
first two years, impacting the careers of dozens of Latine writers and
hundreds of collaborating artists.

Prospect Theater Company is committed to being an Anti-Racist

equitable and just community, and our intention to create and
inclusive space for making and sharing musical theater.
