Michael Coleman - Miss McLoud's Reel, Philip O'Beirne's Delight

XR remastered from a Decca 12085 A pressing. Recorded on October 3, 1936, Coleman is accompanied by the "pianist", Kathleen Brennan. The flip side of this pressing (Decca 12085 B) contains the following jigs: Tell Her I Am and Richard Brennan's Favorite. October 3, 1936 was Coleman's last studio recording session, not including the 1944 transcription recordings for the World Broadcasting System, a subsidiary of Decca Records.

Technical Notes:

The pressing had a severely damaged right groove wall, with a plethora of swish, harmonic distortion, and dense crackle and clicks. Therefore, I opted to use only the left groove wall. Any minor swish that remained had to be removed manually, note by note. Fortunately, this swish is only present in the first half of the recording.
