It's a rhino good morning
Our young male eastern black rhino Boone is feeling chipper today. Boone is the grandson of our 43-year-old female eastern black rhino Elly, who is the oldest black rhino in North America. Elly’s contribution to this critically endangered species is 14 offspring, 15 grandkids, six great grandkids, and two great-great grandkids. It is an understatement to say that the Zoo is proud of its work with black rhinos during this critical time in their conservation.
