The Sight — The Importance of Brandon Stark and Jojen Reed's Visions (Game of Thrones)

A foreshadowing of Bran & Jojen's visions. I'm also certain Daenerys has "the sight" too—just not fully developed/discovered. She had "visions" in the House of the Undying as well.

I think Jojen's vision about "Jon Snow, surrounded by enemies" was referencing to the Beyond the Wall episode. Surrounded means be all around; encircle. The only thing he was ever *surrounded* was the Battle of the Bastards, when the Boltons encircled them, and Beyond the Wall. In Season 4, yes, he went to Craster's Keep, but he was never surrounded. At Hardhome, nowhere he was ever *surrounded* by the wights or White Walkers.

I know he was referencing to the wildlings at the time, because the next scene immediately showed Jon & Ygritte; but he was never encircled nor be all around, only walking & climbing with them. And Jon was already at Castle Black at the end of Season 3 anyway. He escaped from them, so what was the point of that vision if it was only about the wildlings?

"Surrounded by the wildlings" as a vision has no significance for Jojen and Bran in the future. If you think about it, Jojen only "has visions that matters... you," saying to Bran; it's all about Bran and how to defeat the Night King. And if "surrounded by enemies" was about the army of the dead, then it would be the event where the Night King got the dragon. Which means that vision gave Bran the foresight and knowledge to send Benjen Stark and help Jon Snow in the future, the same way the old Three-Eyed sent Benjen to help Bran.

Let's see all Jojen's visions:

1) Bran & a literal three-eyed raven.

2) Catelyn's death ("promise me, no more climbing"—very important for Bran).

3) His death (I know he was talking about Karl Tanner: "I saw your body burn, and the snow fall and bury your bones," but it definitely applies to his death too. Which is far more important. Future visions are not literal, only glimpses or brief, open to interpretation. He only said that to Karl to stall him because he was about to rape his sister, Meera, and Jon was coming.)

4) Jon Snow at Craster's Keep (important information to persuade Bran not to meet with Jon, as this would make Jon stop Bran from going to the Three-Eyed Raven).

5) The Great Weirwood Tree

6) Hodor's death ("Meera & I, even Hodor. We're only here to guide you.")

7) The end (the flaming hand)

8) Robert's Rebellion ("My father never talked about the rebellion... but I saw that too.")

9) The storm when they were at The Gift/windmill (vital information because it was the first time ever Bran wargs to Hodor, and Jojen persuaded him to do it).

These informations are all that matter. All important visions. Not some "Jon Snow was surrounded by the wildlings." And besides, the wildlings were never their TRUE enemies. The wights and White Walkers were. According to Jojen himself. This was his choice of words. Jon Snow even united these wildlings to fight with them, against the dead, and I'm sure Jojen knows that future event. I mean, he didn't even see Rickon's & Osha's death, and that was the time Bran sent them to the Umbers. Because visions are always selective.

This vid was entitled "The Most Important Character in Game of Thrones" before. Later changed to the importance of their visions. — 8/17/18

It's not "Bran." The important character is vaguely concealed somewhere there. You'll know if you look for it... Its symbolism and deeper meaning. — 8/16/18
