PUT GOD FIRST

A lot of people want God to bless their life, but they don’t truly build their life around Him. That’s the difference this quote exposes. Putting God first is not just praying when life gets hard or thanking Him after things go well. It means making Jesus Christ the foundation of your decisions, your mindset, your relationships, your business, your goals, your habits, and your future. Too many people treat God like an emergency contact instead of the Lord and Savior of their lives. But when Jesus is truly first, everything changes. Your priorities become clearer. Your convictions become stronger. Your peace stops depending on circumstances. The world teaches people to chase money, status, attention, and comfort first, then “fit God in later.” But discipleship works the opposite way. Jesus is not supposed to fit into our lives. Our lives are supposed to be fully surrendered to Him.

The hard truth is that many people are exhausted because they are trying to carry a life they were never meant to lead without Jesus leading them. Putting God first means surrendering control and trusting Christ even when it’s uncomfortable. It means opening your Bible before opening social media. It means praying before panicking. It means choosing obedience over popularity. Real discipleship begins when Jesus stops being just a part of your identity and becomes the center of it. When you truly put Christ first, you stop living ordinary. You start walking with purpose, conviction, discipline, and peace that the world cannot give you. Jesus did not die so He could simply be part of your life. He died to become the Lord of it.
