Four years before Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, and more brought their characters to life onscreen in 2012’s The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins introduced them to the world in her dystopian novel of the same name. The Hunger Games series — both books and films — were a massive success with kids and adults.
While taking a character from page to screen can be a difficult process, full of both necessary and creative changes, the people behind the Hunger Games adaptation were able to get the characters pretty close to what their source material said they looked like — at least, mostly.
