First video with the awesome Dimarzio Illuminator 7 bridge and neck set! Figured it kind of makes sense to give you all some Dream Theater. I have these pickups in my Ibanez RG7421 (1999, Japanese), and they really rip.
The bridge is awesome! I like it WAY more than the Crunch Lab, personally. The bass is much cleaner, and the mids are less wooly. The highs are also more present and clear. It almost reminds me of the pickups that came in that first run of the Ernie Ball Petrucci guitars!
The Illuminator neck is really fantastic. Classic liquidy John tone for days, and it splits well, too. I would describe it as being tonally somewhat similar to the Air Norton, but with the power and compression of the Liquifire. Definitely one of the best neck humbuckers dimarzio has ever made.
Playing through my darling Kemper Profiler, using a Marshall JCM800 profile. I tweaked it a little bit and somehow got a tone VERY close to the Scenes From a Memory tone!
