I'm going to meet my sister for the 3rd time!

Second day of Korea ~~ Going to go to my sister's house !!!
It's been four years since I saw her last when she came to help with Galahad's postpartum (after birth) care four years ago! She also came to visit Toronto for her honeymoon in twelve years ago and it was sooo nice to spend this time with her again.

It was also nice to meet my niece Minseo for the first time and see Minjin again !! He grew so much T___T and he became such a big boy.

You may notice some cultural things in at least two parts of this vlog with child care. 1. Children's car seats in taxis; 2. Children going to a store on their own.

Just wanted to briefly address it in case anybody was confused or concerned! Korea doesn't have as many fatal vehicle accidents as we do in North America and I do think it has to do with how fast the cars are allowed to go and how fast they actually do go, especially with all the congestion in such a small space of land. Car seats and infant/child car safety is definitely regulated but isn't as strict as fatal accidents don't happen as often. It's not something that many Koreans are overly concerned about, but they do make sure to have a car seat in their own car that they own.

The Korean culture is also very collectivist and people take care of each other and have specific roles in families as they do just in regular life. If an older woman (aka the cashiers or workers at the toy store upstairs Minjin went to on his own) saw a boy, especially one that they see often and know who the parents are and know that the child has his mom's phone number memorized (aka Minjin), they usually keep an eye out for them and are aware of the situation as well as the children, parents, and people of responsibility (aka store owners). It's like everyone has their own roles and responsibilities but those are to also make sure to take care of other people as well.
