Em Cingapura, um grupo de cientistas conseguiu criar uma ‘planta-robô’, uma planta carnívora conectada a eletrodos capazes de monitorar os sinais elétricos emitidos pela vegetação. Um dos objetivos da invenção é pegar uma série de objetos frágeis que são delicados demais para braços rígidos robóticos. Researchers in Singapore linked up plants to electrodes capable of monitoring the weak electrical pulses naturally emitted by the greenery. The scientists used the technology to trigger a Venus flytrap to snap its jaws shut at the push of a button on a smartphone app.
