The ‘momentum is behind Trump’ ahead of US election

The Institute of Public Affairs’ Daniel Wild says the momentum is behind Donald Trump ahead of the US election because the polls do not capture enthusiasm or willingness to come out and vote.

“We know that Trump has tens of thousands of people come out for his rallies,” Mr Wild told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“It’s the enthusiasm gap between Trump and Biden, the polls don’t capture enthusiasm and the polls don’t capture people’s willingness to actually come out … and actually vote for a candidate.”

Mr Wild said it is currently looking like President Trump will have a “narrow victory”.

“I think certainly the momentum is behind Trump,” he said.
