Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., called for a censure vote on President Donald Trump, after saying that he was still unsure on how to vote in the impeachment trial. Manchin said there aren't enough votes to remove Trump, but a censure vote would give senators an opportunity to state their disapproval of the president's actions. Manchin also said voting to remove a president is not an easy decision, a "grave step to take." He said he listened closely to the arguments made during the impeachment proceedings, but added that, “I remain undecided on how I will vote."

House managers and the president’s legal team each delivered their closing arguments in the impeachment trial on Feb. 3 before senators began to weigh in with debate on whether to remove Trump from office. In December, the House of Representatives charged him with two articles of impeachment -- abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. After the Senate on Friday voted to bar new witness testimony and subpoenas for documents, Trump’s acquittal has seemed all but assured.
