Dwarf planet Ceres meets a group of galaxies (Leo Triplet). I took a photo of them with my telescope
On November 6, 2022, the dwarf planet Ceres, as it orbited the Sun, reached a small group of galaxies known as the Leo Triplet. Ceres did not get physically close to the galaxies, but just lined up between the Earth and the galaxies. Ceres is a dwarf planet in the Solar System, while Leo Triplet are galaxies about 35-40 million light years away from us.
The coolest view was on November 7, when Ceres was very close to the galaxy NGC 3628. Unfortunately, on that day, I had no opportunity to photograph it.
Equipment that I used to take the photo:
Telescope: GSO N-203/800 f/4
Camera: Sony a6400
Mount: iOptron CEM26
