WATCHING ANDEAN CONDORS AT COLCA CANYON, PERU | Chivay, Yanque, and Maca

Day 2 of our two-day Colca Canyon Tour, which highlights some Andean condors at Colca Canyon, Peru!

We started off in the town of Chivay, where we spent the night. Our first stop was in Yanque, where we saw a group of young dancers in the town square performing a traditional Peruvian dance.

The highlight of Colca Canyon in Peru is to watch the famous Andean Condors in action. They glide effortlessly across the sky, and it was fascinating to watch some of these amazing Peruvian condor flights.

Then we went to town of Maca, where you can find one of the best churches in Colca Canyon. Like everywhere else in the area, it is very touristy. You can also try the famous Colca Sour, a spin off Pisco Sour. Instead of lime, they use the sancayo cactus that is sour. The Sancayo Cactus is an endemic cactus to the Colca Canyon.
