What's going on everybody rob here with a little video about home ownership in Cook County Illinois. We found something out today about owning a house in Cook County Illinois. I have been doing research on trust, will, and leaving property to our beneficiaries. We did not know or do not know much about probate and probate cost so we are trying to get our will and last testament completed along with a trust. While going to the county clerk recorders office today we found out that if you do not have anyone to leave your house to or not that but if you do not have a beneficiary or a trust or possibly even a will that you're leaving your house to somebody they will have to pay lawyer fees court cost and probate cost which could be somewhere between 6 and $12,000. But there is actually a form that you can fill out it's called a transfer on death instrument yes a transfer and debt instrument is a form you can fill out with the Cook County recorders office it will cost you $50 to file this therefore if anything would happen to you your house would transfer to the beneficiaries without having to go through probate. This will save your family a lot of money if you just do this in advance if you plan on leaving your house to anybody. As I said before I am doing my research on last will and testaments probate cost trust and LLC's to see what's the safest way to leave what you own behind to your family. If you do have a house or have a house in Cook County Illinois this will be something that you should talk with your family about.
