Hello Friends,
I this video I am discussing citizenship amendment act 2019. The Bill amends the Act to provide that the Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, who entered India on or before December 31, 2014, will not be treated as illegal migrants.

The amendment exempts the requirement of naturalization from 11 years to 5 years for applicants belonging to these six communities.

The cut-off date for citizenship is December 31, 2014, which means the applicant should have entered India on or before that date.
