Mt. Vesuvius: Pyroclastic Flow & Tsunami.mov
This movie shows a physics-based computer simulation of a pyroclastic flow and tsunami generated from an eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. The scenario assumes that 3.4 cubic km of ejecta suspended in a ash column suddenly collapses. The resultant flow destroys everything out to 20 km radius.
