Baby dies after testing positive for coronavirus in the United States
Officials have confirmed a baby, who had tested positive for COVID-19 has died in the United States.
The infant - who was under the age of one - died in Chicago after testing positive to the novel coronavirus.
It's the first known global case of an infant-death from the virus while Illinois health authorities have said an investigation is underway.
More than 85 per cent of coronavirus-related deaths in the United States have been people aged over 60 years old.
The US has surpassed 100,000 coronavirus cases since the outbreak with more than 2000 deaths reported.
