In this video we discuss an interesting question - do you need a "business" to apply for a business credit card? Well to put it simply, you do not in fact need a registered LLC, S Corp, or even C Corp. You can simply apply as a sole proprietorship, to qualify as a sole proprietorship is quite simple. If you sell goods or services on Ebay, Etsy or if you participate in the Gig Economy such as Uber or Lyft you would also qualify.

Some banks will require more documentation such as Barclay's or Chase Bank - therefore I recommend new start businesses to apply for American Express Business cards first. The Amex Business Platinum or Business Gold are a great start.
