Confessions of a Recovering MBA Grad: Wade Foster at TEDxMU

Wade Foster says that the mainstay of the business world, the Masters of Business Administration, may not be right for today's technology startups or even general education. Advocating experiential learning and getting your hands dirty, Wade explains how he learned more outside of a classroom than inside of one.

Wade is an entrepreneur, marketer, and web developer. He is a co-founder at Zapier, a web application that provides point-to-point integrations between business SaaS applications. Wade helps run a local web developer user group called HackCoMo and actively plays saxophone in a jazz quartet.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*
