Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh, finance minister of Nigeria and other members of a Nigerian economic mission meet with President John f. Kennedy in the president's White House office. Okotie-Eboh presented Kennedy with a leopard skin and invited Kennedy to visit him in Nigeria.
Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh was a Nigerian politician who was the finance minister of Nigeria from 1957 to 1966 during the administration of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.
Okotie-Eboh was assassinated along with Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa in the military coup of January 15, 1966, which terminated the Nigerian First Republic, and thus civilian rule.
