First Day of Spring 2025 - The Equinox is Here!

Did you know that spring officially starts when the vernal equinox arrives? And it's not always March 21.

And at Chichen Itza in Mexico, crowds gather to watch the sun create a stunning shadow that looks like a serpent slithering down the ancient pyramid of El Castillo.

And while astronomical seasons follow Earth's orbit, meteorological seasons start neatly on the first day of certain months, like spring beginning on March 1, purely for simplicity.
