Cold Steel - Norman Sword

Cold Steel is pleased to offer you our modern interpretation of the famous Norman Sword. Just like its historic counterparts, it offers a long extra wide blade with combat sharp edges and a very useful and highly functional point. To insure that the sword is light and maneuverable enough to be easily wielded with one hand, but still stiff enough to withstand heavy blows, we added a broad, deep fuller in the center of the blade that is as functional as it is attractive.
The hilt of our Norman Sword is also reminiscent of many surviving originals with upturned, spatulated quillons, leather-over-wood grip, and a modified "cocked hat" pommel. This pommel shape was specially chosen because it allows more room for the hand, while counter balancing the blade and serving as a devastatingly effective weapon in its own right.
A beautiful conversation piece for any collection and a popular sword with re-enactors and Historical Martial Artists alike, the Norman Sword is battle ready and more than capable of fending off any foe!
