Jenny Berggren is here! Hello, good morning!
Jenny: Hello, good morning, how are you doing?
We know that in Sweden you have a special philosophy called ”lagom”. What is it about, what's the idea?
Jenny: Well, it's actually you can translate as "pass a ball around a team". You only have one ball and you have to pass it to everybody. You have to share. Take lagom.
We know that during this hard time Sweden is keeping on smiling. You have moderate isolation. But there are also some limitations. What are they?
Jenny: well, we are only allowed to see 50 people at the same time, keep distance - 2 meters. People who are in any risk group are supposed to stay at home. Also wash hands and don't go outside if you have even mildest ailment. And we don't have to wear face mask.
We know that you and your husband are always together even on tour. What is the secret of harmony in relationships. Does lagom help you too?
Jenny: No, lagom doesn't help in marriage. It's extra everything. Extra love, extra care, extra prayers, extra fun. You know, it's how you are going through your everyday situations.
We have read that people in Sweden love to sing in choirs and someone's even keep it as a hobby. Maybe this is the reason of success of many famous Swedish groups?
Jenny: well, I don't know. What about me I have a high soprano and I was singing in choirs since I was small. It's just our way of relaxing. It's our kind of yoga I think.
What would you advise me if I'm gonna start learn singing, some exercises or meditation for example.
Jenny: well, singing is a performance. And it's important to understand what is the reason out there. And it's very much listening. It's not only physical, it's about spirit too.
Jenny could you sing for us? Or we could sing for you. (singing Happy Nation)
Jenny: I will come to Russia.. and we're gonna dance together.
Thank you Jenny! We hope to meet you soon in Russia.
Jenny: I'm dying to get there. Thank you so much. Bye.
Transcripted and translated by Kristina Bordovskiharage to record book. Common swedish boys and girls from Ace of Base started like a little pop-band but then conquered stadiums in the 90s. Their first album became the best-selling debut album in history. They were still popular in 2000s. People didn't forget the best hits. And everyone can remember their favorite Ace of Base song.
- My favourite is Beautiful Life.
- And mine is Happy Nation.
- Their songs are very inspiring.
- Maybe it's the part of their Swedish philosophy that is called ”lagom”?
- We're gonna ask it now!
