East Ventures celebrated its 10th year anniversary on 7th October 2019 at Westin Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia. The event was attended by all EV's family, including Ministers, Government representative, startup founders, LPs, partners, and friends
.
The session showed their humble beginning, which was quite unseen with their status as a big startup right now. At the end of the session, East Ventures presented each of them with a baby unicorn statue, as a reflection of how East Ventures met them in their early days with the uncertainty of whether they would become unicorns or not. Willson said that it's easy if you want to have some shares in a unicorn company, all you need is to give them a lot of money. But to find them when they are still a baby, now that's a very hard thing to do.
