Steel Girder bridge Calculations & Methodology for Railway over Bridge before launching Girder's.

Girder bridges are the simplest bridge type in structure and consist of steel beams shaped to an I-section or box section, called a plate girder bridge or a box girder bridge, respectively. Girder bridges are comprised of deck slabs, on which vehicles and people pass, and of main girders supporting the deck slabs.

The two most common types of modern steel girder bridges are plate and box. Two different girder bridges. The top is a plate girder bridge, while the bottom is a concrete girder bridge. The term "girder" is often used interchangeably with "beam" in reference to bridge design.

Steel girders are widely used in the construction industry due to their excellent load bearing capacity. A beam and a girder both work the same way. They can withstand external forces because they are flexible.

Immediate roof support over the excavated section. Act as a template assuring a minimum thickness when applying shotcrete. Become part of the reinforcement in the shotcrete lining. Provide support for spilling, if needed, over the next excavation.

Girder spans also range from 15 feet to 45 feet in 5-foot increments for each of the beam spans noted. Therefore, beam/girder depths tabulated cover 28 different bay
sizes for each of three load cases. Dead loads address the self-weight of the floor/roof framing system.
