The Monal Restaurant is one of the major attractions of Islamabad. It is located in the Pir Sohawa area of the Margalla Hills at an altitude of 5,000ft above sea level, overlooking Islamabad from almost 3,000ft up. The Drive to Monal through the Pir Sohawa Road is an experience of itself. Winding through the thick forest of the Margalla Hills, it is one of the best roads in Pakistan. After crossing Pir Sohawa, the road carries on towards the Haripur District of the KPK Province

Monal Restaurant, accompanied now by La Montana and Gloria Jeans Coffee, offer probably the best view of Islamabad. In particular, the night view of Islamabad from Monal is unparalleled and lauded by everyone who has ever seen it.
