Geeze has it really been 5 months since my last Behind the Glass With a Glass? Dang. Well here’s the good news: the drought is over, man! It’s time to sip a drinky-poo and talk photography! But here’s the bad news…I waited so long that I just had too much to talk about. This one is lengthy. Sorry. All these videos are getting too long, I reckon.

In this episode I’ll be enjoying something that sounds better than “a rum and coke” but is really just a rum and coke. It’s got muddled lime in it and it’s called a Cuba Libre. And while I get my buzz on I’ll share a new retrowave inspired photo I took with my Shen Hao TFC 617-A and CineStill 800T film, I’ll give my final thoughts on CineStill, share with you the gorgeous Mamiya RZ67 75mm tilt/shift lens, and discuss the mainstreamification of analog photography.

Old timers will say I’m dumb for talking about film photography going mainstream - “you hipsters think you invented film photography but it was always mainstream” - but it’s true. The analog community is getting bigger and bigger. Sure, film used to be the only option so it was always “mainstream” in a sense, but then it died and no one came to the funeral. Digital curb-stomped it and we looked the other way. But now it’s back from the dead and it’s getting stronger every day. Part of me worries about it getting more popular, but ultimately I think it’s a good thing. And that’s what I’ll be wrestling with in the later part of this video.

As always, thanks for watching, please drink responsibly, and here's to you - cheers!
