At the super-high altitudes of Ladakh, winter that’s just around the corner is no less than an enemy. And planning to cater for the troops deployed at those dizzy heights begins well in advance. This year, there’s an additional challenge: the number of troops deployed in eastern Ladakh is thrice the normal. So how is the Indian Army preparing?
