В этом видео я сравниваю замесы холодного фарфора с белыми зефирными глинами + рассказываю немного про особенности этих глин.

Холодный фарфор: Thai super white clay, modern clay (green), Angeliza superwhite

Зефирная глина: Hearty white, Hearty soft, Modena soft, Crafter's clay.

Зефирная глина придаёт холодному фарфору бархотистость, белизну (кроме Modena soft) и убирает лишнюю прозрачность. Также, в замесе с зефирной глиной хорошо отпечатываются прожилки на вайнерах. Но зефирную глину я добавляю в основном в лепестки, но не во все.

This is a video to compare different white clays, I mixed different brands of cold porcelain (thai clay, modern and angeliza superwhite) and of white soft clay (hearty, modena soft, crafter's clay) in proportion 50/50.

🌱🌱🌱🌱💚💚💚💚A SHORT SUMMARY:

1💚. THAI CLAY super white (or THAI CLAY #7) + MODENA SOFT - my absolute favourite for white velvet petals. This mixture is quite white but not too white, very soft when you touch the petals. The petals keep the shape perfectly. BUT! This mixture can be too soft if you live in a very humid climate (humidity in my flat changes from 40 to 60%). If it is very humid in the place where you live, you can add about 20% of LUNA CLAY to harden the petals.

2💚. MODERN clay (green) + MODENA SOFT - nice when you touch the petals, they are velvet and soft, but the mixture is a bit yellowish. The colour is more ivory colour rather then white. Still, this mixture is very nice for many ivory-white flowers (for example, roses)

3💚. MODERN clay (green) + HEARTY SOFT (or just HEARTY white) - also a very nice mixture, but it is rather sticky and can be difficult to work with if you have never tried HEARTY clay. HEARTY makes cold porcelain increadibly soft and sticky for a while and you will have to get used to that mass, or you can mix the clays and leave it for a day wrappen in film to dry a bit.
Still, the petals are also very soft , quite white (though a bit less white than the first mixture).

___________ALL MIXTURES WITH ANGELIZA CLAY ARE VERY SOFT, they are ideal for dry climate, but can be too soft for humid places! If it is too humid, petal can loose their form.____________

4💚. ANGELIZA SUPERWHITE + MODENA SOFT - nice soft touch, but petals are bit less white than mixture #1 and they hold the form a bit worse than #1.

5💚. ANGELIZA SUPERWHITE + HEARTY SOFT (or just HEARTY white) - the mass is diffult to work with as it becomes even more sticky than #3, but when the mixture dries a bit, it becomes much easier to work with it.
The petals are very flexible, can be too flexible in humid climate.

6💚. ANGELIZA SUPERWHITE + CRAFTER'S CLAY. A nice mass to work with, quite white, though in dry places petals can be a bit less soft and flexible.

CRAFTER'S CLAY HARDENS PETALS OF COLD PORCELAIN. With humidity of less than 60% petals with crafter's clay may look too hard and plastic in touch, though in very humid places this clay may help the petals to keep their form.

7💚. THAI CLAY super white (or THAI CLAY #7) + CRAFTER'S CLAY. - the hardest mixture when the petals dry. In my climate (with humidity 40-60%) the petals seem too plastic and hard, thus I don't like this mixture for petals. Moreover, it looks too white.

8💚. THAI CLAY super white (or THAI CLAY #7) + HEARTY SOFT (or just HEARTY white) - very nice petals, almost like in mixture #1, very soft in touch, a bit whiter than #1. Still, the mass is very sticke at the beginning.

Basically, if you live in a DRY climate, I would recommend you to choose ANGELIZA clay + any soft clay.

If you live in places with MEDIUM HUMIDITY - use any cold porcelain + any soft clay except Crafter's clay.

For very humid places opt for Crafter's clay and any cold porcelain + you can add LUNA CLAY (about 20%) to help the petals keep their form.
