Overspeed Trip - 600 Hp Snow Pipeline Compressor Engine

Pushing the speed on the Snow a bit, hitting the Overspeed Trip.

Like most big engines, the 600 Hp Snow has an overspeed trip, in case the governor fails. There is a spring loaded pin in the flywheel, which moves out with centrifugal force as speed increases. The trip is a simple knife switch, which cuts the ignition. The overspeed is set just over 90 rpm.

For 2017, a correct-for-the-engine revolution counter has been restored and installed.
