Arabic Zapin Gambus Music and Dance

Video taken by John Hussain Barnett. Zapin band group members are friends of Jaafar Abdullah Bajrai from Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia and Indonesia. I was deeply touched to see my beloved father, Retas Jaafar Bajrai, dancing the Zapin before my eyes. Actually, earlier that morning, I had whispered to him how I wished to see him perform the Zapin dance, but knowing that he would be busy entertaining guests, I had almost given up on that, when to my amazement, he fulfilled my wish after our wedding reception. He was very fit and healthy then, yet was decreed to peacefully return to His Lord just 2 years later. This unplanned Zapin dance was indeed one of my late father's greatest gifts to me, Alhamdulillah - All Praises be to Allah!
