CREATING ARKIT BLENDSHAPES WITH HOUDINI
Welcome to the channel! In this tutorial, I will show you how to create an FBX character model with ARKit Blendshape support from scratch, and then how to test it using an AI-generated voice script and Voxpheus.
What you will learn in this video:
Loading batch blendshape models downloaded from GitHub using the File Merge SOP node and isolating the Neutral model.
Transferring UVs from a MetaHuman head model using the Labs UV Transfer node, and cleaning up the UVs with the UV Brush and UV Edit nodes.
Setting up a single-joint rig using the Rig Doctor and Capture Packed Geometry nodes.
Packing data based on the name attribute and adding blendshapes to the model using the Character Blend Shapes Add node.
Setting up materials using the Principled Shader and exporting the setup with the Rop FBX Character Output node.
Converting an AI-generated speech into a WAV format audio file, and testing the system by converting the audio into blendshape data using the Voxpheus shelf tool.
