[mukbang/cookbang with THIEN]: Indian Chicken Biryani (Hyderabadi-style), Paratha, and Raita

I was once called an over-achiever 📚; my attempt at preparing 🐓 Chicken biryani has proven this to be very true. I am always anxious with tackling new recipes, especially with foods outside of my culture. However, I also strongly feel that facing these "cooking" fears will only take me further in my mukbang/cookbang journey. So, I present to you - 🇮🇳 Chicken biryani (Hyderabadi-style) with Paratha flatbread and Raita.

Vahchef's recipe video helped me tremendously (credit below). Considering it was my first time cooking chicken biryani, it turned out damn good 🤗. I described the smell and taste as "beautiful" 🌹.

Also, I worked extremely hard on this new background set-up. As I expressed in the video, I find it important for myself (as a creator) to keep things fresh; a remodel gives me new energy and motivation. I hope you like it. 😎

🐓 CHICKEN MARINADE (3 hours or overnight):
4 chicken thighs and 4 chicken legs
Bay leaf (3-4 pieces)
Star anise (2 large pieces)
Cinnamon sticks (1 piece, broken)
Cloves (5-6 pieces)
Black/Green cardamom (10 small pieces)
Shahi jeera (1 tsp)
Lichen (kalpasi) (1 tsp)
Pepper corn (1-2 tsp)
Red chili powder (2 tbsp)
Coriander powder (1 tbsp)
Cumin powder (1 teaspoon)
Ginger garlic paste (1 tbsp)
Salt (1 tbsp)
Turmeric (2-3 tsp)
Yogurt 1 cup
Coriander/Cilantro (1 bundle, chopped)
Mint (1 bundle, chopped)
Green chilly (cut)
Oil (1/2 cup)
Lime juice (2 tbsp)
🍲 CHICKEN BIRYANI:
Marinated chicken thighs and legs
Basmati rice (500 g, uncooked)
Fried onions (125 g)
Rose water (1 tbsp)
Ghee (1 tbsp)
Saffron (in warmed milk)

Indian yogurt (2 cups)
Persian cucumber (1, chopped)
Tomato (1, chopped)
Mint (2 springs, chopped)
Raisins (2 tbsp)
Salt (2 tsp)
Pepper (2 tsp)
Cumin (1 tsp)
Chili powder (1 tsp)
