Economically, Lagos is the 6th largest city economy in Africa and continues to be a key contributor to Nigeria's GDP. With its rich cultural diversity and historical significance as a port city, Lagos remains at the forefront of development.
The 2025 Lagos State budget, titled the "Budget of Sustainability," is set at N3.37 trillion, with a significant portion allocated to capital expenditure. This strategic plan aims to build on past achievements while driving infrastructure, innovation, and sustainable development for the future.
