Halloween's party ended up a tragedy for us

Hey everyone! Today Alice want to tell you a terrifying story. It happened to her on Halloween. After this incident, she no longer have parties. Ever.

Me and my friends are already in that age when it’s too late to go to the kid's carnivals but our heart really wants some joyful celebration. We are 17. So we decided to throw a party of our own. It was Halloween. A friend of mine had a great room for our large-scale fun. His parents owned an old factory with a bunker. The bunker itself was old too. But some necessities still worked - like toilets and ventilation.

We didn't talk much about the costumes, but it was not a secret to anyone. So, I learned that Max would be Captain Hook, and Linda was finishing her fallen angel outfit - she was making broken wings, but it was hard to hold the feathers together. They made holes or hung down, like dull donkey ears. And our party-starter Sam promised to come up with something special. He even showed us a picture of some terrible mask. It was very similar to an ancient God’s face, all in runes.

On the party day, we were a little nervous…Well, you know, it’s a great responsibility to organise a big party in the city! But then it just happened by itself. Everybody was having fun and dancing… Guests even organised some absurd contests and laughed a lot, without our participation. Sam was our MC. He was late for the start, but we recognised him by his mask and his energy.

All of us, except Linda, lived on the same street. Practically, our houses were nearby. I asked Linda not to wander in the fog alone and stay at my place overnight. But Sam somehow quickly picked her up by the hand and led her towards her house. We thought they planned to continue as they have already been dating for 2 years. So, we did not interfere.

But just as we turned around the corner of the street we got totally shocked! Sam was sitting on the porch of his house with a cast on his leg! Yeah, it was Sam, who was supposed to be on his way to Linda’s home. But ... How come?! Meanwhile Sam noticed us and rushed to ask questions.

It turned out he had fallen off the ladder the night before the party while helping his father to hang the lights on the roof. He broke his leg, and had to urgently move to the hospital. That’s why he couldn’t warn us. When he was back from hospital, we were already hanging out in the bunker. There was no mobile network there. Sam kept talking, but we were not listening. We were all tormented by one question – if Sam was at home, with a cast (he even ran out to us on his crutches) then…. who was in the bunker? And, most important, who took Linda by the hand?

We called the police ourselves. Because…. well, Linda had gone somewhere with a strange man. It would be strange if we didn't say anything. The police took us seriously. They immediately organised searchings. And then the nightmare began.

No one found Linda or even her body. They have searched for 5 days. They checked the data of the leaving cars, looked on the cameras on routes… They did anything. And the worst thing was that not only Linda, but also three other girls were missing that night. The police searched for them too in all the parks and woods, in all the nearest towns and on the highways, every house in the neighbourhood - and nothing. What’s more, no one knew who had kidnapped them.
