🇦🇫THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LAKE IN WORLD - BAND-E-AMIR, AFGHANISTAN

Hello Guys,

Band-e Amir National Park  a national park located in the Bamyan Province of central Afghanistan. It is a series of six deep blue lakes separated by natural dams made of travertine, a mineral deposit. The lakes are situated in the Hindu Kush mountains and approximately 3000 m of elevation, west of the famous Buddhas of Bamyan.
Surrounded by pink towering limestone cliffs almost in complete lack of vegetation, the stunning lakes have intense colors that range from faint turquoise to deep blue. Sometimes they are bluer than the sky and contrast spectacularly over the desert vistas around them.

Shahr-e-Gholghola or the 'City of Screams', Taken Sept 9, 2009 near Bamyan City, Bamyan Province, Afghanistan. This was the site of 13th Century massacre of the city's population by Mongol conqueror Genghis Khan, avenging the murder of his favorite grandson. If you look closely you can see a few people sitting atop it - Afghanistan forces watching the valley. The ruins are riddled with landmines and is a safety hazard for anyone moving around the mound.
