CCTV video of 14-year-old who randomly murdered retired Ontario teacher

The killer of an 83-year-old Ontario woman was just 14 years old and here is security video of the oddly dressed boy walking near his victim's house shortly before and after his attack.
On May 29, 2025, Eleanor Doney was stabbed to death while she was gardening at the front of her house in a suburban slice of Pickering, Ontario, just east of Toronto. It sparked wide fear in the community. These strange images of the killer were captured on security video by neighbour John Meloche who provided them to Postmedia. The boy has confessed to killing Doney in a random attack, but he cannot be identified because of his young age. His cartoonish clothing — the trenchcoat, oversized dress shoes and a briefcase — were likely meant to mimic a graphic novel character the boy seemed obsessed with, who was a serial killer with special powers. He pleaded guilty in April 2026 and is expected to be sentenced as a young offender in July.
