What are some of the challenges, what are some of the frustrations, what are some of the nuances that come up when you are playing Dungeons and Dragons with members of your family?

Well before we get to that, you have to start with the game table and the room you play in.

This is how we setup the room and get prepared for Dungeons and Dragons 5e

How you lay out your game table for DnD is important if you want everyone playing to enjoy themselves.

I like to have a map of the continent up on the wall for easy reference.
We also display illustrations we had done by DJ at sketchgoblin up on the walls to help players get into character.

D&D 5e games can be super long so it’s handy to set the room up close to a kitchen and bathroom, in our case we play in the dining area of our open kitchen so it means dungeons and dragons doesn’t get interrupted when someone needs to top up on popcorn!
