I know the last few videos have been a bit dramatic, but that's because that's what we had been experiencing! It'll go uphill from here. It has to, right?

****Oh and if you are still confused what happened because it was hard to understand through tears and our frustration, read the description below. We want to help you, so when you go to Prague, you don't repeat our mistake!

So the Prague metro is set up differently then anything we've experienced before.

You have to:

1. Buy a ticket at a machine using ONLY coins
2. Validate your ticket at the yellow pillar BEFORE arriving on the platform

So our issue was that you can ONLY use coins to buy a ticket & there is no attendant there to ask how else you can buy a ticket with the bills you get from the ATM or with a credit card. So we got on the platform (without having purchased a ticket) and immediately we were stopped by a traffic enforcer (before even getting on the metro). We were charged $80 ($40 each) which we had to pay in cash immediately on the spot or it would've been $900 ($450 each) and 2 days in prison. We weren't sure if we had enough, but thankfully we had $95 in available cash.

We begged for grace & mercy, but like a good enforcer of the law, he followed through with our fine.

We should've went to a near by shop and exchanged our bills for the exact coins we needed or done WHATEVER it took and figured it out to get on the metro honestly.

We later found out that any news stand or small convenience shop sells metro tickets that we could've used our bills and maybe even our credit card.

An expensive mistake for sure, and a lesson learned that we won't easily forget!
